Providence Programs

Providence Foundation operates the oldest homeless shelter in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood under the auspices of Providence Baptist Church.  For the last 5+ years, members of the San Francisco Alumnae Chapter (SFAC) have provided dinner to the approximately 120 men, women and children who stay in shelter each night.   SFAC serves on a monthly basis, and has recently partnered with another organization, First AME Zion Church, to provide toiletries and clothing to the residents.  In 2018, SFAC held its first voter registration at the site.
